FDL Human Services Notice: Due to COVID, the Human Services Division has a high number of staff out, therefore, some of our services will be suspended or moving to virtual. Our staff will reach out to you if there are changes to your appointment. In addition, due to a shortage of supplies and staffing, our COVID food & supply boxes will be limited to one per COVID positive individual. The Human Services Division is doing its best to stay safe so that we can continue offering services to the community, but ask for your help to limit the spread. You can help by getting vaccinated (and boosted!), staying home if you are ill, social distancing, washing your hands, and wearing a mask. Miigwech!
Mask Wearing: The Fond du Lac Human Services Division would like to remind everyone that face masks continue to be required by all staff, vendors, and patients two years and older regardless of vaccination status. Masks should completely cover the nose and mouth and fit snugly against the sides of the face without gaps and should be worn for the duration of your visit. If you are unable to obtain one, the Fond du Lac Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has masks available. Please leave a message on the EOC hotline at 218-878-7175.

FDL COVID-19 Quarantine Guidelines:

  1. If someone has symptoms and tests positive their isolation period is 10 days from start of symptoms, as long as their symptoms have improved and they don't have a fever for 24 hours before returning to work. (without taking fever reducing medication)
  2. If someone has no symptoms and tests positive, then isolation period starts from when they got their positive test. Isolation for a positive test is 10 days as above.
  3. If someone was exposed to someone with COVID-19 and has no symptoms they should quarantine for 14 days from the date of their last exposure to the positive person, even if there test is negative. This is guidance from CDC and MDH.
  4. If someone develops symptoms or tests positive during their quarantine for being a contact of a positive person, then they need to isolate for 10 days from that date. So for example someone may have started their quarantine on the 1st, but then gets symptoms on day 7 and tests positive that day then their isolation starts the 7th for 10 days.
